Located on State Highway 199, 16 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth in the northwest corner of Tarrant County and extending partly into Parker County, Azle is a suburban community with a rural quality of life. A number of properties still have room for horses and cattle to roam. If living on the lake is more your style, there’s that option, too.

The lake is a popular destination for boating, fishing, wake boarding, water skiing, and kayaking and is surrounded by walking trails, camp grounds, picnic spots, and open areas. The Fort Worth Golf Club features 6,600 yards of tree-lined courses surrounding the lake.
The City of Azle is served by the Azle Independent School District. Overseeing Azle High School, home of Marching Green Pride, one of the top marching bands in the state; two junior high schools and 7 elementary schools.
